Rooms and capacity
During the Nuclear Security Summit in 2014, Barack Obama opened our beautiful Garden Gallery in what was previously a courtyard. The Garden Gallery has space for 700 guests, and has excellent acoustics and a pleasant indoor climate. Besides the Garden Gallery, the Entrance Hall, the Lecture Theatre and Grand Reception Area, the Gemeentemuseum has several smaller rooms, so we can offer a unique venue for your dinner, reception, seminar, meeting, concert or presentation, whether your group is large or small.
Catering and technical facilities
During the museum's opening hours (Tuesday untill Sunday 10:00 – 17:00 hrs), your programme's culinary needs will be taken care of by our partner, Catering Meesters. At other times you are free to consult with us on your own choice of caterer. Our technical facilities are also available for you to use, and where necessary we can recommend our preferred partners to supply your technical needs. We are more than happy to strengthen the message of your event by linking it to one of the museum's top exhibits, for example with a guided tour, a lecture or a word of welcome by one of our experts.
Accessibility and parking
The Gemeentemuseum is located midway between the city centre of The Hague and Scheveningen. There is ample (paid) on-street car parking in the vicinity of the museum and a spacious multi-storey car park within walking distance. We will be pleased to arrange exit tickets for the car park for you. The tram and bus stop are located right across the road from the museum entrance.
