A staff outing, a family day out or an excursion with friends? Guided tours are available for many of our exhibitions. See below for a list of possibilities.
Let us tell you about some of our artworks and exhibitions at the Gemeentemuseum Den Haag. Look at the collection in a different way and find out more about an artist or artwork from one of our expert museum guides.

Guided tours of temporary exhibitions

Cost (Dutch-speaking guide): €80 an hour on weekdays; €90 an hour at weekends (plus admission charges; max. 20 people).
Cost (English/French-speaking guide): €90 an hour on weekdays; €100 an hour at weekends (plus admission charges; max. 20 people).

More than 20 people in your group? Split them up and book a choice of simultaneous tours! 

How to book a guided tour
To book a guided tour, just contact the Education Department. It’s best to book at least three weeks in advance. Mail your booking request to or phone +31 (0)70 33 81 120 (Mon-Fri, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.).

Audio tours
Rather pick up an audio tour and explore the museum on your own? Audio tours are available free of charge (in Dutch or English) for ‘Mondrian & De Stijl’ and ‘Discover the Modern’. There is also an audio tour (in a wider choice of languages) for ‘Highlights of the Mauritshuis’.

Want to visit the museum with your own guide?
Groups can also visit the Gemeentemuseum with their own external guide but this is subject to certain conditions. If you want to do this, phone or mail your request at least three weeks in advance to the Education Department (open Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.) at tel. +31 (0)70 -3381120; e-mail:
